Your recollections of Asambhav, your last directorial?
I shot it in Italy. It was a very interesting shoot for me. I had a great experience. The locations were unique and for the first time and not many people go there. So it was the Italian part of Switzerland, the state of Canton Ticino. And of course, there was Priyanka Chopra, Naseer and Arjun Rampal.
The film was slick but didn’t work?
Yeah, the film didn’t work that much. So I don’t know what you want to write about Asambhav. Though I think people like it now more than they liked it then.
Have you been in touch with Priyanka Chopra?
I’m not in touch with her, Subhash. I haven’t met her since Asambhav, I haven’t met her. So what do I say? After Asambhav, I think I met her once. We have a common birthday, 18th July. So she came for my birthday and we both celebrated it together. Right after Asambhav, there was no interaction after that. She moved on with her life, I moved on. She went to America, married, all that, all that. And I haven’t even seen her. Forget talking to her. I have no clue where she is, whether she has children even now. Is her marriage going well? I have no clue where she is, what she’s doing with her life. No idea. Nothing. I don’t follow her at all.
