Ajay Devgn’s highly anticipated film Raid 2 released in theatres across India on May 1 and has made a strong impression on its opening day. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the film is a sequel to Devgn’s 2018 blockbuster Raid and follows the journey of IRS officer Amay Patnaik. The sequel features Vaani Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in lead roles, introducing new faces and mystery into the franchise.
Box Office Collection Day 1
As per initial estimates by Sacnilk, the film collected approximately Rs.18 crore on Day one which is a good opening for the crime thriller. Raid 2 opened to improved figures than Devgn’s 2022 hit Drishyam 2 which had made Rs. 15.38 crore on day one. The positive word of mouth for the sequel along with Devgn’s fan following ensured that the film received a good head start.
Powerhouse Behind The Film
Raj Kumar Gupta who was also the director of the first part of the film has continued his magic in the second part as well. The script has been written by Ritesh Shah, Karan Vyas and Jaideep Yadav providing the audience with a tale which is engaging and holds the audience to their seats. The movie is produced by leading producers Abhishek Pathak, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Bhushan Kumar, Gaurav Nanda, Krishan Kumar and Pragya Singh under the banner of Panorama Studios and T-Series Films.
