Social media was abuzz last evening with reports claiming that Shah Rukh Khan had suffered a back injury while filming Siddharth Anand’s upcoming action thriller King. The rumours further suggested that the injury, though not severe, had led to a production delay and that Khan had travelled to the US and then the UK to recuperate with shooting now reportedly pushed to September.
However, a trusted source close to the actor has refuted these claims, telling NDTV that the rumours are baseless.
According to NDTV reports, Shah Rukh Khan is not injured due to any recent filming incident. The actor has experienced physical strain during various shoots in the past, some of which occasionally flare up. For ongoing care and treatment, Khan often travels to the United States. A source confirmed that he flew to the US in the second week of July and is expected to return by the end of the month.
Earlier this year, similar reports had emerged regarding a nose injury during a shoot. It was later clarified that the actor had undergone a minor nasal surgery, and not related to any set accident.
