The CUET exam consists of 4 sections, Sections IA and section IB will be Subject-based and sections II and section III will be Domain and General tests respectively. Section II of the CUET syllabus for BA course examination includes domain-specific subjects. The syllabus varies for each domain. CUET BA Exam Pattern 2025

Candidates willing to appear for the test must go through the exam pattern carefully.

• CUET Exam is divided into 4 sections 

1. Section IA- 13 languages 
2. Section IB- 20 languages
3. Section II- domain-specific subjects
4. Section III- General awareness test

• Section IA languages include Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, 

Marathi, Gujarati, Odia, Bengali, Punjabi, Assamese, English, Hindi, and Urdu.

• Section IB languages include French, German, Spanish, Persian, Italian, Nepali, Arabic, Dogri, Sindhi, Maithili, Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo, Manipuri, Santhali, Tibetan, Chinese, Japanese, Russian.
• Section II consists of 27 subjects out of which candidates can select a maximum of 6 subjects.
• From Section IA and IB combined, candidates must choose 3 languages out of which one language should be chosen in place of the domain subject.
• CUET Examination questions will be Multiple choice type questions.
• CUET Exam is a computer-based test so it will be conducted in online mode.
• The Candidates must follow the criteria of the university which they are aiming for while selecting Languages from Sections IA and IB and a maximum of 6 subjects from domain-specific subjects.

• Candidates can select a maximum of 2 languages from Section IA and IB and a maximum of 6 Domain-specific subjects and a General Test.
• For option 2, a maximum number of 3 languages from Section IA and IB and maximum 5 Domain subjects and General test.

Note: Candidates are advised to visit the official website of their desired university and go through their curriculum. As not all universities provide every subject in their curriculum.

For candidates who will select subjects that are not provided by the universities their admission will be canceled.
