  • The ratio of the diameter of the follower/driven pulley to the diameter of the driver pulley is called its speed/velocity ratio.

Velocity ratio: \(\frac{N_1}{N_2}~=~\frac{D_2}{D_1}\) 

Where, N1 = Speed of the driver, N2 = Speed of the driven, D1 = Diameter of the driver pulley, D2 = Diameter of the driven pulley

Given:

D1 = 100 mm, N1 = 1400 rpm, N2 = 3500 rpm
