Land reform 

• Land reform refers to efforts to reform the ownership and regulation of land in India.
• Those lands redistributed by the government from landholders to landless people for agriculture or special purpose are known as Land reforms.

Objectives of Land Reforms

• Remove such impediments to increasing agricultural production arising from the agrarian structure inherited from the past.
